I hope to bring to the students not only success but a sense of belief and positivity in their own abilities. Growing up in a quiet picturesque suburb south east of Melbourne, Australia, I know how easy it is to stay in one place when you feel secure. I felt that in order to reach my full potential I needed to face big challenges.
Uprooting to another country, leaving friends and family behind was certainly one of those challenges, not to mention experiencing inner-London schools. I try to set all my students a challenge in Art by quoting one of the greatest artists and inventors of all time, Leonardo da Vinci “Poor is the pupil who does not surpass their teacher.”
