F6rm Fashion Show

A team of A Levels students have been working hard to raise money for the British Heart Foundation. The group of nine students (Jacqui Dack, Roseanna Morrell, Katie Wheeler, Pip Hamilton, Annalise Jerram, Joe Pelletier, Nelly Rogers, Sam Lock and Jack Burchmore) have been meeting once a week for 18 weeks in order to plan and organise a charity fashion show.
The show featured evening wear from shops across the Island including: Posh Frocks (Cowes), Oh So Vintage (Carisbrooke), Osbournes Suit Hire (Ryde) and Gems Bridal Wear (Newport), the jewellery was donated by The Isle of Wight College’s own Eve Furber. The models looked stunning with approximately 150 guests the event was a raging success. This was a student lead project and the team, with the support of three members of staff (Ruth Torr, Hayley Conway-Hughes and James Burford), were responsible for planning and arranging all of the details.
The Models attended ‘catwalk training sessions’ once a week in the run up to the show where their seamless and mature performance was noted by all. Ruth Acton (Head of F6rm) said :
I was overwhelmed by the professionalism of the students taking part in the Fashion Show; they made me very proud. I thought the show was exhilarating and to know it was all for a good cause showed the integrity and dynamism of the students at F6rm.
The models included: Tim Ward, Laurie Watkins, Luke Breslin, Sam Lock, Elliot Gray, Jack Rawlings-Cawtheray, Fran Maretic, Jade Lovely, Nina Schaff, Claudia Fuller, Aimee Smart, Tara Edwards, Georgina Glodthorpe and Jess Debenham.
