Dan Boatright

Dan Boatright teaches Geology, Archaeology and Ancient History at the Isle of Wight College. Having undertaken a Bachelors Degree in Egyptian Archaeology and a Masters degree in Archaeology at the University of Liverpool he embarked on several archaeological excavations training to be an archaeological geophysicist and surveyor, and is still known to walk around fields and deserts with a magnetometer when the need arises. He recently completed his doctoral thesis on ancient Egyptian and Canaanite mining and metalworking practices at the University of Liverpool, where he taught Archaeological Science, Egyptology and Ancient History.
Dan is also a research associate of the Universities of Liverpool and Hawaii, having taught on archaeological field schools for both in Egypt. He also taught Archaeology, Ancient History and Geology at King George V Sixth Form College in Southport. When not teaching Dan can often be found attempting to beat his own land speed records in a variety of different running and cycling activities, or exploring the more remote areas of the world.
